Service Efforts and Accomplishments
The Auditor's Office issues the annual Service Efforts and Accomplishments report for the City of Palo Alto. The report is intended to be informational. It provides data about the costs, quality, quantity and timeliness of City services. It includes a variety of comparisons to other cities, and the results of a citizen survey. Our goal is to provide the City Council, staff, and the public with an independent, impartial assessment of past performance to strengthen public accountability, improve government efficiency and effectiveness, and support future decision-making.
Service Efforts and Accomplishments Report 2006-07 This is the City Auditor’s fifth annual Service Efforts and Accomplishments report for the City of Palo Alto. Our goal is to provide the City Council, staff, and the public with an independent, impartial assessment of past performance to help make better decisions about the future. The National Citizen Survey™ (The NCS™) is a collaborative effort between National Research Center, Inc. (NRC) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
