Application for the Use of Alternate Material, Design or Method of Construction Pursuant to California Fire Code section 103.1.2, the fire chief can approve alternate means or methods to meet the intent of the code. When completed you can scan and Email the form to Fire@cityofpaloalto.org or fax the form to 650-327-6951. You will be contacted via email or phone with your scheduled inspection.
